You are probably all wondering if we are going to be opening soon for private prayer, and then next month for Mass. There are strict health and safety criteria to be met with before churches can open and unfortunately we do not meet these criteria. This is certainly the case with opening next week for private prayer. Next month things could be different; the R factor could be down to zero, probably it will not be. It`s a waiting game.
Think of Sunday`s gospel. Jesus sends out the 12. It would not be happening now because of Lockdown; do you think it happened then? Do you think the 12 or even the 72 would have been up to it?
