Last week our country registered 100,000 deaths since the beginning on the pandemic.  Some people say these people would have died soon anyway.  It raises the question, should we be doing, or the NHS be doing, all it can to prevent people dying?  In fact it`s a question which gets more and more complicated. If we are concentrating on Covid, are other people dying of cancer?  I don`t know the answer; I don`t really understand the question.  But the pandemic has changed all our lives, and that means like all the people in the world, we have no idea what on-going consequences there are going to be.  How do we cope with changes for the worse, by doing all we can to ameliorate the situation for everyone, especially the worst afflicted. Can we think that and really mean it?
