A statement from the President and Vice-President of the Bishops’ Conference has been issued on behalf of all the Bishops of England and Wales regarding the Prime Minister’s statement on Saturday evening and on the proposed national restrictions guidance (effective 5th November 2020) published on the Government website.

Bishop Marcus has asked all priests to contact their parishioners as soon as possible and encourage them to immediately email or contact their MP to request that the guidance is amended to allow places of worship to remain open for acts of worship and religious services.
